Closet lesbian dating for first time -- need advice
Only came out to myself less than 6 months ago and have been dating an out lesbian for 1 month. In this time, we definitely moved too fast including sex on the first date, daily texts/calls, and meeting all her friends in the course of 2 weeks as a couple.
Recently I had a bit of a melt down while attending a lesbian event with her and all her friends - she wasn't spending much time with me, commented on there was a lot of hot women there - because I was then texting my own friends, she got annoyed and made pissy comments. I left without saying anything to her - completely wrong on my part. We spoke right before Christmas and she suggested we be friends (meaning we hang out, some messing around, no sex) and take things slow since I am obviously struggling. She also said she's strongly attracted to me and loves spending time with me and is not seeing anyone else - and she wants a healthy relationship. I agreed we were moving too fast and thought her suggestion would be great. When I asked about next steps, she said she wanted to see me again really soon but probably not till after the holidays since she has relatives/friends staying with her throughout from out of town. Haven't talked since (less than a week ago) aside from a brief Merry Christmas text I sent which she responded to asap. My questions: am I being strung along or is she legitimate? Any advice for me moving forward? |
